As expected and as usually the case, if the organiser said that the event will start at 8.00AM - then it meant you would be lucky if the first game would kick off at 9.00AM.

By quarter to eight Myself and our Top Striker (yang namanya tak perlu disebut) were the first to arrive at the venue. We didn't want to take any chance of being late and disqualified. There was no other participants around except for the Guard manning the entrance.


You can expect the normal banter when other members of the team started to arrive at the game venue from their breakfast session.





We were also glad that Salahudin and Madey voluntered themselves to join the team because our regulars, Chukai and Megat (Megat lagi?!!) were still recuperating from their injuries.





Kunta proudly showed his t-shirt sponsored by Durex. All of us doubted whether Kunta really cycled all the way from Putrajaya to Melaka - but that's another story in another entry.





Seen in the picture were Madiah, Lan Hassan (Batch '85) and Bappu.






Our Top Striker was in deep thought contemplating his next move.

The Organiser later annaunced that the first game would commence at 8.45AM.

And we were definately ready for the challenge.

SDARA FUTSAL Season 2007 - Part 2

8th December 2007

The match day begun as early as 6.35AM when I received an SMS from Balok:

"Dah cukup2 cabut la malam karang leh sumbat balik"

Tak guna punya kawan, ada ka pagi-pagi buta hantar macam tu punya message. I understand Balok sent the same message to other guys as well.

A day earlier, Cukai had reminded everybody to be gather at a mamak restaurant somewhere near the game venue by 7.00AM because participating teams were required to be at the game venue by 8.00AM.

By 7.10AM I called our top striker. We had earlier agreed to car pool and I was supposed to fetch him at his apartment. His 'mem' picked up the call; half awake she said our top striker was still in the bathroom, taking shower. Kah3x. I sent this message to Balok at 7.12AM:

"Gua rasa kita punya top striker ada celup la mlm td. Gua call tgh mandi. Tgh tunggu dia la ni."

Balok replied with this SMS at 7.14AM:

"He3 gua nk amik goalkepr bru lps melancp"

See, so much drama even before the games begun.

Tungguuuu......for the next entry. Nak kena buat kerja dulu lah.

SDARA FUTSAL Season 2007 - Part 1

Bros,

Team batch kita, dalam kemunculan kali pertama di Sdara Futsal tournament telah berjaya sampai ke peringkat Suku Akhir kategori Otai. Malangnya kita tewas pada team dari batch 93A dengan score 0-1. The sad thing is that team kita telah menewas kan team yang sama dengan score 3-1 semasa group game. Tapi macam mana pun aku nak ucapkan terima kasih pada semua yang bermain dan hadir, termasuk lah Cikgu Azizi Sihab. The photos will be posted in Sdar82-86 blog.

Sdar 92 vs Sdar 826 : 2 - 2 (Scorer: GS & Kunta)

Sdar 93A vs Sdar 826: 1 - 3 (Scorer: Udang, udang and only Udang)

Sdar 94B vs Sdar 826: 1 – 3 (Scorer: Udang, udang again, and only Udang)

Quarter Final:

Sdar 93A vs Sdar 826: 1 – 0

SDARA OTAI CHALLENGE

I have to apologize to all visitors of this blog for the delay in putting up with new entry(ies). I have received the pictures of our latest exploit at the SDARA Futsal Tournament 2007 held on 8th December 2007.

But I think before I upload the latest pictures, it is more appropriate to put up the full results of SDARA OTAI Challenge for record purposes.Click on the image for a larger version.

As you may have known, we lost in the final to SDARA batch 85-89 (Harnadim). The consolation was that Udang and Kunta were the top two scorers. Even Dr. Ah Siong managed to put his name in the list of goal poachers. Congrats guys!

These are some of the pictures of the extended KUBORAN session that we had after the dinner for the benefits of those who could not make it. [Especially to Stranger nun jauh di Utara].

After the dinner, we adjourned to a mamak stall near Senawang. Except for Labu, Badek and Ah Tong, most of the guys joined the KUBORAN session after the dinner. Not less than 6 tables were filled up by SDAR86 guys. Who paid for the teh tariks, mee goreng and roti teluur I couldn't really recall, but thanks anyway.

Fuhhh. . . . . !!!!!!! Penaat betul. . . . . . . Belum fully recovered from yesterday's event. Macam kena dera. . . . . . Early morning, around 5.45am, BABA called through my mobile to wake me up for the golf game, in fact I was preparing for my SUBUH prayer then. 6.30 Dondeng plak follow-up while I was leaving the house. We agreed to pool car on this trip, just like any other trip to Seremban. So imagine lah awal pagi dah jaga then main golf, pas tu suport futsal team sampai masuk final, then beraya kat rumah Asiong, then Dinner function kat SDAR, then teh tarik & "bell" session kat Senawang. 1.00pagi baru nak gerak balik lepas kambing bukak langkah. . . . . .3.00 lebih baru sampai rumah. . . . . hari nih my two sons ada concert lak . . . .memang flat. . . . Tapi tetap puas hati sebab dapat jumpa semula geng lama. Bukan nak senang nak dapat lebih 50 orang batch 826 gathered since the last 20 years.

Macam BABA kata yesterday's gathering was a realization of what was visualized by one of our colleague while SDAR celebrated her silver jubilee in 1982, the year we first met 25 years ago. Followings are my journal of the beautiful day.

SDARA Golf
This time it was organised by our non other than Bro Sle from batch 76. Likewise, the other round pun was orgnised by him, hehehe . . . .

Dondeng, BABA & myself were the only representatives from our batch. Potet tak jadi main last minute due to some commitments. We tee off in the same flight out of six from other batches. On the second nine Asiong joined us lepas sesat kat Seremban International Golf Club , we actually played at Tunku Jaafar Golf Club. Hahaha. . . . lawak, lawak. . . . .

By 12.30 we all concluded the game. We revived our burned calories from the kuih raya , lemang, ketupat and rendang at golfers terrace, club house. One of the super senior emerged as champion this time. Some familiar faces are Payau 85, Mat Grr, Ehsan, Kashfi, Tom, Zai Kayu from 82, Belatok, Ed Salman from 83.


Otai Futsal
Our batch organises this game. Introducing the challenge trophy. Teams from 83, 84, 86, 88, 89 participated in the round robin mode of play.

Key players are Kunta (muntah belilah), Cukai (lutut out), Balok (asyik cramp), Udang (top scorer), Asiong (kejap player, kejap medic), Madiah (keeper maut), GS (import for semi & final), Dondeng (super sub final)

Kencing player : Tobak (sampai smart)

Cheer squad : Nami, Kambing, BABA, Balon

Cameraman : Gua lah, sapa lagi. . . . . .

Please give a big round of applause to our team. . . . . . for securing the 1st runner-up place. We lost to batch 89 by 3-2. It's okay, it's alright, it's a gooooodddd try!!

Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir batin Asiong. Terima Kasih sebab bersusah payah menyediakan juadah untuk kami semua dan juga tempat mandi dan menukar pakaian sebelum Dinner 50 tahun SDAR.

Makan Malam Amal Perdana 50 Tahun SDAR

Makan malam ni dianjurkan oleh SDARA dgn kerjasama PIGB. Bertempat di Dewan Dato' Abdul Razak, SDAR Sg Gadut.

Batch 82-86 yang telah terlepas reunion 20 tahun pada 2006 yang lepas telah kembali bersemangat untuk ber reunion pada function ini, yang diselang-selikan dgn futsal mini tournament, SDARA AGM & Golf game. Lain-lain acara kuboran juga di rancang dan sedang rancak di bualkan dalam egroup.

Nantikan postings mengenai event tersebut tidak lama lagi......!!!!!!

FUTSAL SRIKANDI 2007 - Part Four

The Game Plan:

"Okay Guys....listen up. This is our game plan.....grab their balls and let's kick their asses!"
















First Game - SDAR'86 vs MC'84
We lost narrowly 0-1 on penalty.
None of us knew that we could not slide or bring down the opponent.

We missed the opportunity to lead early in the game when KUNTA failed to convert a penalty.
Udang missed a penalty too in the next game.































It's all OVER.....

We were hoping for favourable result between MC'84 and Asputra. It turned out MC'84 won by solitary goal and they qualified to the next round.

Tak do 'joki.....apo nak buek jang.






























The Makan-Makan:

Venue: Restoran Hassan, USJ10 Taipan
Menu: Ayam Kampung Goreng, Ayam percik, Lala masak lemak kuning.....nyamm-nyammm, ulam secukup rasa....

Best gila. Diselangi oleh joke Superman oleh BABA.




























































All in all, we had fun. It's a good experience. Thanks for the support and good wishes from other friends that could not be at the venue the other day.
